Irish Chain (16)

I started a while back to make an Irish Chain quilt

Then I changed my mind and I packed it away

I decided to dig it back out
only this time, I didn't want it as big as originally

The more I worked on this quilt
the More it became my favourite!!

See how nice my quilt shelf looks,
I am working on filling it up

I found a piece of white minky in the clearance bin at my local quilt shop,
It was just a touch too small, so I added a row
of postage stamps to it

I quilted it with straight lines from side to side
the whole size of the 9 patch blocks
and then added diagonal lines from corner to corner that cross the white blocks

( you can see I had fun with some of my extras, too,
the pillow in the back ground,
but that is another post)

the fabric is California Girl by Fig Tree

Sorry for the picture over load,
but
I LOVE THIS QUILT
Definitely my favorite!!! (so far)

I still have some left over 9 patches,
and I happen to have lots of fat quarters that coordinate
I am planning on making a queen sized Irish Chain
for my bed!!

Thanks for stopping by
Happy Tuesday

I LOVE the look of an Irish chain quilt. I don't know why I haven't did one yet! I always shy away from the simple stuff...weird.

Oh that minky looks so luxurious!

this looks great, I love white space in a quilt. The postage stamps on the back work really well.
